Chattanooga Farm To Crag Waiver

Stoked you are joining us for climbing, feasting, farming, and learning at the Sequatchie Cove Farm for the weekend of October 13-15. We will help harvest corn, grind it by hand, and make beautiful food from traditional methods. We will hear from climbers Kate Rutherford, Miguel, and Mariana Casar about their work to make the world a better place, we will learn about soil science, and have a panel discussion on local and federal farming policy work. We will have a farm tour and get some work done on the farm before heading out to all climb together and of course, we will feast on all local organic meals paired with appropriate adult and na beverages!

We will continue to invest in farming communities where we recreate, and this level of organizational support will allow us to hire passionate folks to carry the Farm to Crag banner into even more communities and develop and foster key partnerships with climbing gyms, diverse local climbing organizations, and climate allies alike. Investments are also needed to expand our capacity to host and support more local and regional events, manage and oversee our map and app development and expansion, create farther-reaching educational tools, and boost our capacity to engage more fully in climate-related advocacy opportunities impacting climbers and farmers alike.

We hope you will join us in strengthening Farm To Crag’s capacity to maximize our reach in the outdoor community and help us build a stronger base of voices for collective action for a more equitable food and farm system and a healthier planet in the years to come.

The Connection between Farming and Climbing~

Through our shared passion for adventuring outside and nourishing our bodies and environment, people experience generosity towards themselves, the land, and the missions we care about. This is about how we want to feel.  -

“Farming is what we do between the climbs, leaving wild nature and returning home to nurture the family and community through regenerative farming and cooking.” - Charley Graham
